Tina Marie is a singer, songwriter, dancer and choreographer. A West Virginia native, Tina grew up knowing her path would be music.
Tina’s favorite thing to do was to put on some music and sing into a hairbrush for hours at a time.
She nagged her parents incessantly to go to dance school. Knowing how children usually change their interests quickly, Tina’s parents held off until they were sure she wasn’t going to change her mind.
When they felt this was something Tina really wanted to do, they enrolled her into a dancing school.
At the age of 7, Tina had her first dance recital. The moment she first stepped on stage, she felt as if she were home.
Tina continued performing throughout childhood and into her teens. She sang in church and the school choir while dancing in her recitals.
After relocating to Florida, a dance audition led to a series of theatre productions and a brief stint in modeling. This led to her appearing on a local weekly TV show.
While Tina was grateful for all of those experiences, they weren’t as fulfilling to her as her music. So she decided to follow her heart and continued pursuing her passion for music.
While she was working on a demo, the recording studio asked her to be a session singer. Since then she has gone on to perform live on various stages and record covers as well as new material.
With many diverse musical influences from Motown to Manilow, Tina enjoys performing a wide range of genres.
Having an eclectic taste in music, Tina performs music purely for the music itself, not the category.
Believing oftentimes one genre is influenced by another, she doesn’t like limiting the art or creativity of music. Tina likes the unplugged sound of playing acoustic and often times performs with just one instrument.
When there is downtime, Tina likes painting, photography, interior design, meditation and yoga. She is a nature lover, an environmentalist and an activist for human and animal rights.
